Very nice pictures. Are there any from the Btry A 1st AAA Msl BN? If anyone have some with the name could you please post them. I feel that this will help me to bring closure to finding out more about by dad.

Wanted to make the reunion this year but my wife’s health condition prohibited it. We are hoping for the next one. Great site!

Bob… I am glad you enjoyed the pics. I never dreamed that those photos could be seen by the whole world. I just got finished 27 1/2 years in a Pennsylvania State Prison…. I worked there…grin. I retired this past March.

    God Bless
    Tom

    Don,
I am sorry I did not attend this recent reunion. Too many circumstances made it difficult to attend.
I still must congratulate you on your efforts to make so many people feel good about their time in the service.
I was saddened to hear about Sgt. Jim Eicher passing so close to the time of the reunion.
I was surprised and pleased recently to get a phone call from CWO Joe Hosick. He waanted a copy of a photo of him that was posted on the Web site. It was nice talking to him, even though he did not remember me.
Best of luck in everything you do.

Thanks for your comments, Marc. Many of us that served there have fond memories of Herminie and the surrounding area.

Thank you gentlemen for serving our country and protecting us. This site serves as a great historical record of the air defense provided to Pittsburgh. I grew up in Herminie (3 years after the Nike base was closed), and my family always called it the nike site. In my teenage years a buddy of mine and me would wonder around the IFC area. It is amazing what you can find that was in your own back yard.

    Thanks again Gentlemen!

    Hi, Brandon.
My suggestion for possibly finding pictures of the Elrama site, would be to go to Ed Thelen’s website. There, if you are a veteran of Elrama, you can add your name and request. Ed has instructions on his site for doing that. Good Luck!
    Don

Copy and paste the link below into your browser to go to Ed’s Elrama thread.
